Assessment Task 1 (Individual) 'Next Big Thing' [Final Piece] 30%
Individual Assignment:
The individual assignment requires you to critically explore a particular new media's history and development and adapt it into your daily practice. You are required to document your user experience using a journal or a diary. Kindly explore any forms of applications, technology, digital games and services or social media platforms that you have not used before. You must be an active user of the identified new media technology for a minimum of 7-days. Analyze your observation, produce an observational report or summary and attach all the experimental evidence.
DEADLINE: Saturday 25th October 11:59PM (Week 5)
Submission will include:
1. A PDF Document: approximate 1200-word first-person narrative. See formatting below.
NOTE:
All assignments to be submitted via TIMES only; no email/WhatsApp, etc.
All assignments must use the Assignment Cover Sheet.
Submissions in .pdf format only; all in a single document including cover sheet and feedback/rubric form.
Formatting your Report:
● Word Count: approx. 1,200 Words (5-page document)
● Font- Type: Times New Roman, Size: 12 for the text and 14 for headings.
● Paragraph Spacing- 1.5 space
● Margins - Minimum 2.5 cm, maximum 3 cm all around.
● Appendices - All appendices included with assignments should be clearly labelled with a letter (A) or number (1).
● Referencing Requirements - Start the Reference list on a new page and use the APA referencing system.
5% deduction for each day late submission, maximum of 5 days (25%), followed by automatic failure as per TU regulations
